Our 1st Birthday

We turned 1 year old this weekend, and we through a party to celebrate.  The decorating started early in the morning so that we would be ready for everyone when we opened at noon.

 

 

As soon as it was noon, the line up started.  We released our Spruce Tip Ale and Anniversary Saison, and we couldn't pour them fast enough. There were four of us working as fast and efficiently as we could, but the line up still wound out the door and the parking lot was full.  We were blown away by the turn out, which was beyond our expectations!  I guess our postering and social media campaigning worked out.

 

 

Those who were waiting in line were treated with a cupcake, made locally by Kate White.  There were two choices: spruce tip with lime meringue (to pair with our Spruce Tip Ale), or orange with spiced buttercream (to pair with our Saison). 

 

 

With every purchase came a chance to win a prize: hats, toques, t-shirts, glasses, beer BBQ sauce, or gift cards.

 

By 2pm, 2 hours after opening, we ran out of Spruce Tip Ale.  We figured there was a chance it would run out, but most likely not until the next day.  Boy were we wrong.  The Saison was hit hard and we ran out of some of our IPAs as well.  It was a busy birthday!

 

We will have more Spruce Tip Ale this summer, and this year we will be putting it in bottles too.  Also as of June 1st, we are now open Wednesday to Sunday, 12-6 pm.  Thanks to everyone who supported us in our first year, and here's to many more!
